Andrés Santana

Applied AI Expert · Training & Consulting
Before writing code, I wrote songs. Music was the life plan — until technology transformed the industry and forced me to choose between what I loved and what let me make a living. I chose to survive.

I learned to code from scratch and took it seriously: for over 4 years I was the frontend lead at Mexico's fastest-growing digital pharmacy. I cut load time by 56%, lifted conversions 23%, and the platform I architected processes $2M+ monthly for 50,000+ patients with 99.9% uptime.

Along the way I found my unfair advantage: I can do the technical work and I can translate it. Because I lived the fear of falling behind, I learned to teach technology from empathy, not arrogance.

Today I work on three fronts: AI automation for companies, custom software development, and AI training for non-technical professionals.

My north star is simple: help professionals master AI before the world forces them to choose. It forced me. It doesn't have to force you.

Technical Skills

React / Next.jsBuilding production applications with React 18+ and Next.js App Router. Experienced with Server Components, Streaming, Parallel Routes, and ISR for high-performance, SEO-optimized frontends.
TypeScriptStrict TypeScript across the full stack. Type-safe API contracts, generic utility types, and end-to-end type safety from database schemas to UI components. Reduces runtime errors and accelerates team velocity.
GraphQLDesigning and consuming GraphQL APIs with Apollo Client and codegen for fully typed queries. Real-time subscriptions for live data feeds, optimistic UI updates, and efficient cache management for complex financial data.
State Management (XState)Modeling complex UI flows with finite state machines using XState. Ideal for multi-step checkout processes, payment flows, and approval workflows where predictable state transitions are critical.
AWSDeploying and scaling frontend infrastructure on AWS. Experience with S3 + CloudFront for static assets, Lambda@Edge for dynamic rendering, and Amplify for full-stack deployments with CI/CD integration.
Performance OptimizationSystematic approach to Core Web Vitals: code-splitting, lazy loading, image optimization (WebP/AVIF), critical CSS inlining, and caching strategies. Proven track record reducing LCP by 56% on high-traffic platforms.
CI/CD & DevOpsAutomated pipelines with GitHub Actions, Vercel, and AWS. Feature branch previews, automated testing gates, Lighthouse CI budgets, and zero-downtime deployments for production applications.
Tailwind CSSUtility-first styling with Tailwind CSS for rapid, consistent UI development. Custom design system tokens, responsive layouts, and component-level theming integrated with design tools like Figma.
